This Privacy Notice (this "Notice") governs your access to and use of the COG Discord bot service, including all features, functionality, and services offered through the bot (collectively referred to as the "Service," which also includes all user data, statistics, configurations, and other content collected and processed through the Service).
References to "COG," "we," "us," or "our" in this Notice refer to the COG development team, and references to "you" and "your" refer to you as a user of our Service.
Your use of the Service, and all communications between you and us, are subject to this Notice. YOU SHOULD READ THIS NOTICE COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE SERVICE AND/OR PROVIDING US WITH ANY INFORMATION, PARTICULARLY PERSONAL DATA. By using our Service in any way, including adding COG to your Discord server, configuring bot settings, or by otherwise providing us with any personal data, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Notice.

This Notice is a master privacy notice provided to all users of the Service. Our operations may be global, but please note that privacy laws governing both this Notice and our legal obligations regarding the collection, use, and processing of personal data vary across jurisdictions.
A Note About Children: Our Service is not targeted to, and we have no interest in collecting information from, children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly gather any personal data from children. If you are a parent or legal guardian who believes that your child has provided us with any personal data, please contact us immediately.
Personal data means any information about an individual that can be used to identify that individual. Personal data does not include anonymous or anonymized information that cannot be used to identify a specific person.

Identifiers: Discord user IDs and usernames are collected to identify users and track their engagement within servers.
Activity Information: Message counts and activity statistics are recorded to calculate experience points and engagement metrics.
Voice Channel Data: Voice channel participation data is monitored to track user activity and social interaction within voice channels.
Server Interaction Metrics: Server interaction metrics are gathered to understand user behavior and improve bot functionality.
Configuration Data: Custom configuration settings are stored to maintain user preferences and server-specific customizations.
Additional Uses of Personal Data: In addition, we may use any of the personal data we collect for the following purposes: to prevent fraud and maintain the safety and security of our Service; to respond to law enforcement requests as required by applicable law; and to evaluate business transactions where personal data may be transferred.

Direct Interactions: You provide us with your personal data when you add COG to your Discord server, use bot commands, configure settings, or participate in tracked activities.
Automated Collection: As you interact with our Service through Discord, we automatically collect certain data about your server activity, command usage, and engagement patterns.
Discord Platform: We receive personal data through Discord's API when you interact with our bot, including your Discord user ID, username, and activity within servers where COG is present.

Service Providers: We may disclose personal data to our service providers and contractors who help us operate and improve the Service, including cloud hosting providers and analytics services.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose data as necessary to respond to law enforcement requests and as required by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulations.
